Magnesium hydroxide
A mineral ingredient in our deodorant system that helps manage odor. It also acts as a pH adjuster in cosmetic formulas.
Zinc ricinoleate
An odor-absorbing ingredient derived from a fatty acid found in castor oil. It helps capture odor molecules.
Arrowroot powder
Helps absorb moisture and contributes to a drier-feeling finish. It does not block sweat glands or make this an antiperspirant.
Beeswax
Adds body and structure to the butter blend. Our listed formula contains beeswax, so it is not vegan.
Stearic acid & cetyl alcohol
Help structure and soften the formula. Cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol used for texture and emollience.

Will this stop me sweating?
No. Four Butter is designed to manage odor, not prevent perspiration. Arrowroot contributes to a drier feel, but does not turn deodorant into an antiperspirant.
Why leave out baking soda?
Our formula uses magnesium hydroxide and zinc ricinoleate in its odor-care system. Being baking-soda-free offers an alternative for customers who prefer to avoid that ingredient.
Are the cream and stick exactly the same?
They share the four-butter philosophy, with texture and structure suited to each format. Creams are scoopable; sticks have a firmer set. Check each product’s full ingredient list for specifics.
